Matching and investigation methods based on differential and integral operators of laser radiation propagation in a medium with small inhomogeneities

We now suggest monochromatic light-beam propagation in a medium with small inhomogeneities of the refractive index, in particular, in the medium with a parabolic profile of the refractive index. A simulation method is explained for light wave propagation in a parabolic fiber based on its propagation in a homogeneous media through a periodic sequence of thin lenses. Using a limiting transition to infinity of lenses, being spaced a differential distance apart, an integral operator of propagation in the parabolic medium with the paraxial approximation is received, and its properties are analyzed. The action of the paraxial integral operator on Gauss – Laguerre modes is examined.
